New Website!

There's been a lot happening in my life lately...including the fact that I got married :) My husband and I are now doing photography together and so this calls for some rebranding, we are now Dallas & Jylisa's Photography. We've created a new website that you can still find at www.jylisasphotography.com for now. Also, this blog is no longer going to be active so if you want to keep up with what's happening you can visit our facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dallas-Jylisas-Photography/237949209585490

5 Days Old

My first session with a newborn this tiny, only 5 days old. What a difference it makes getting them this early. She slept so much better and did great! I would definitely love to do more newborn sessions. The only problem is that when taking pictures I can't hold them.

Too Cool

This session was so much fun! The little girl was adorable and the pictures with the sunglasses turned out perfect.

"Rain" Backdrop

A little while ago I was trying out a new background I call "rain". I also tried out a new texture on it. I love how the images turned out!

We are now taking weddings. Check out our new site at www.albertaweddingphotography.ca! When you call be sure to inquire about 25% off for 2013 weddings!

A Call to Love

I while back I took the cover photo for my aunt's book. I'm excited to say that her book is now published! You can look for it on Amazon. Below is the cover photo and a sneak peak into what the story is about.

"As a single mother, Maddy Walker's life has been anything but easy, yet despite her pain and loss, she has committed her life to loving and serving others. Throughout the story, Maddy's faith is stretched as God teaches her how to love, enabling her to touch the lives of many people in her community. When Maddy discovers that she has an inoperable brain aneurysm, she is tempted to withdraw, uncertain she has anything left to give. Her only prayer is to live long enough to see her daughter married and know she is taken care of. But God is not finished with Maddy.

When Isobelle Davis moves to town, God prompts Maddy to befriend her. Thrown into the midst of unwelcome change, Isobelle is struggling with feelings of anger and discontentment. Yet God uses what Isobelle views as a negative circumstance to provide an answer to Maddy's prayer. In the process, Isobelle's attitude is transformed and she gains new perspective as she is able to see how God's hand was orchestrating it all."

We had so much fun at this session! The kids were full of fun expressions and energy. I just love how the final collages turned out.
